Walter A. Miller, 82, of Washington

Walter A. Miller passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 1:34 p.m., at Prairie Village Nursing Center, Washington, Indiana. He was born Jan. 17, 1937, in Bluffdale, Illinois, to Roy and Decima Miller. He married Mary Kay (Mattingly) Miller on March 31, 1956.
Walter retired from McCord Corporation and had been a maintenance union leader. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish and the National Guard. He loved animals and gardening.
Walter is survived by two sons, Michael Miller of Washington and Rick Miller of Trinidad, Texas; three daughters, Lisa Marie Duncan of Huntingburg, Karen (Michael) Mignogna of Racine, Wisconsin, and Cathy Hill of Washington; brother Jim Miller of Jacksonville, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Dustin Matthews, Sam Matthews, Jennifer Haag, Bradley Duncan, Curtis Duncan, Racheal Giannecchini, and Jill Speth; and there are several great-grandchildren.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Decima Miller; and sisters Sissy Jackson and Loriana Miller.
Visitation will be Friday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Washington, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Paul Ferguson at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ed Lee Mortuary.
