A traffic stop yesterday morning netted pot, morphine and $3600 in cash.
Stat Police report that at 3:20 am on Tuesday morning, a 2002 Ford Ranger was stopped by Trooper Jordan Lee. The stop too place at Hart near 12th because the truck had a defective license plate light.
An odor of marijuana was detected by the trooper and a search turned up 435 grams of marijuana. That is just under a pound of pot. Also found were 10 morphine pills and the cash.
29-year-old Demencio Canchola of Vincennes was arrested for Possession and Dealing Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance and a Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
