Mother drives through flood waters and 2 year old dies

Flooding in Wabash County, Indiana has taken the life of a two-year-old boy. Indiana State Police say the boy and his mother were in a car traveling along County Road 925 South near Mississinewa Thursday afternoon. They came across a “high water” sign on the side of the road. Sgt. Tony Slocum says the mother, Anthonitte Carter, overlooked the sign, drove past it and into flood waters. The car became submerged in about 8 feet of water. Rescuers got Carter out of the floodwaters. A towing company then pulled the car out and that’s when police found the little boy dead inside.
