The Indiana Department of Transportation will close State Road 56 between State Road 257 in Otwell and the junction with U.S. 231 at Jasper beginning Tuesday. Workers will be replacing a pipe near Ireland. State Road 56 will be closed for two days, weather permitting. INDOT says SR 56 will be closed after the morning school bus runs and will re-open before the afternoon school bus runs. The official detour is SR 257 to SR 64 to US 231.
