Jeep washed off of Portersville Bridge

A vehicle was washed off of the Portersville Bridge according to Daviess County Police logs. At 8:52-am Sunday, a resident on 900-South reported a man came to their home saying they had been in the water all night and had lost their vehicle.  It was a black Jeep Cherokee and again had been washed off of the Portersville Bridge. Portersville Road has been closed due to high river flood waters.   The man, who was not injured,  was transported to a Washington residence.  Authorities searched for the vehicle after locating where it was last seen.  It was not found and Dubois County authorities were contacted to see if they could locate it.
