Donald Wayne Chandler, age 81, of Washington went to his heavenly home at 7:35 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Washington Nursing Center.
He was born on February 23, 1938, In Evansville, Indiana to Aubrey and Mary Chandler.
Don was a US Army Veteran and owned and operated Chandler’s World Imports. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He loved playing the guitar and collecting books.
He is survived by his wife Florence Chandler whom he married on November 24th, 1975, a son, Aaron Wayne Chandler of Bloomington,IN; a brother Gary Chandler of Florida; a sister Sharon Smith of Georgia; two grandchildren, Jude Xaivior Chandler and Charles Duncan Chandler.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 till 10:45 A.M. on Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
