Thousands of $ worth of Meth seized in Washington

       Seven thousand dollars worth of meth has been seized in Washington over the past week, and 4 people have been charged.
       Washington Police report that the 70 grams of crystal meth were found after a narcotics investigation started by the WPD K9 Officer. 
       Police served a search warrant last week at a home where 16.5 grams of meth were found and 48-year-old Jeremy Sims of Washington was charged with Dealing and Possessing Meth while 49-year-old Percy Lyford was charged with Possession of Meth and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
       That investigation continued this past Saturday where nearly 54 more grams of meth were seized resulting in the arrest of 36-year-old Charles Stafford and 27 year old Lacy Drew both of Petersburg.  Stafford was charged with Dealing Meth and Drew with Possessing Meth.
       Washington Police report they were assisted in the investigation by the DEA Task Force, State Police, the Daviess and Pike County Sheriff’s Departments and Petersburg Police.
