Jill Sparks, formerly of Dana, Indiana, died Friday, August 2, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Born in 1962 in Clinton, Indiana, to Maximillian and Lou Jeanette Summerville, Jill graduated from South Vermillion High School in 1982. Jill spent much of her career working in caregiver roles. She especially enjoyed working with children and the elderly.
Jill was especially known for her love of animals. She also enjoyed traveling and visiting new places. Jill was known as a spokesperson for diabetes awareness and mental health awareness, and worked hard to bring attention to these important causes.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Charles; her brother Scott and sister Janet; her three daughters Brandy, Stephanie and Heather; and four grandchildren, who brought great joy to her later years.
The New Hope Christian Church, Washington, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements. Her viewing will be on Friday, Aug. 9, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the Celebration of Life ceremony will commence at 3 p.m.
