A Loogootee man charged with Rape, Criminal Confinement, Battery with a Deadly Weapon Causing Injury, Strangulation and Intimidation remains jailed in Martin County.
Authorities say the charges against Charles Travis Kline 46-years old stem from an attack on a woman.
The Washington Times Herald says a special prosecutor will be assigned to the case before formal charges are filed against him. The Martin County Prosecutor, who represented Kline in a previous unrelated matter has recused herself due to a conflict of interest.
