Just prior to the sun coming up as the birds began to sing on the morning of August 24th Janet Sue “Nana” (Hobson) Alberti passed away very peacefully to join her husband Richard “Bucko” Alberti at the age of 82 years old.
She was the oldest child of Logan & Ada Mae Hobson from Washington, Indiana. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Lance) Ferrell and grandchildren, Kiah & Tyce Ferrell.
She was blessed to grown up with her siblings, Nancy – deceased (Kenny) Solliday, Carole (Marvin) Poland and Mike Hobson.
After graduation from Washington High School, Janet started a career as a telephone operator until she left to devote her life to be a wonderful Wife, Mother & Grandparent. Never was there a day that she could not bring love, joy and happiness to her family and spoil her grandchildren. Nana’s youthfulness and caring was truly a special gift to all of us.
Bucko and Nana (Richard and Janet) will be laid to rest at Bethel Baptist Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to be held in Washington, Indiana at a later date.
Online condolences and special memories may be shared at barkesweaverglick.com.
The family would like to give special thanks to Cherished Memories staff at Cumberland Trace in Plainfield for all their love and support for Janet and her family during the last months of her life.
Arrangements were entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
