Doppler may be affected by wind turbines

Wind turbines proposed in Gibson and Posey counties may interfere with the National Weather Service Doppler radar. WFIE TV reports a German company, E.ON, plans to build dozens of wind turbines that could cause signal interference for the radar, which is on a 90 ft. tower in Owensville. The Weather Service cannot stop the project, but the counties are considering the impact.
