The unemployment rate in Indiana dropped to 3.2 percent in September. The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says it hasn’t been this low since December 2000. It’s also below the national rate of 3.5 percent.
In the county by county numbers, Daviess County is tied with Gibson at 2.1%, Knox County is 2.7% for September. Pike County is at 2.8% and Dubois County has the lowest unemployment in the region at the state at 1.9%.
