Vincennes Police Chief Dusty Luking has resigned his position. That was announced yesterday in a press release from the Vincennes Mayor’s office.
The resignation comes following a July 31st investigation by the FBI when they were at the Vincennes PD for about 4 hours and afterwards, the chief was a put on paid administrative leave. Nothing has been released as to what the FBI were doing there or why Luking was placed on Leave.
Mayor Joe Yochum says the selection for a new chief is starting in the meantime; Assistant Chief Terry Johnson will remain in charge.
