(NETWORK INDIANA/photo from WIBC) Vice President Mike Pence returned to Indianapolis Wednesday to promote the White House’s commitment to education when it comes to training the country’s workforce. Speaking at the Strada Education Network National Symposium, Pence said skills-trade workers are in the highest demand they’ve in in decades, but there are not enough trained workers to fill thousands of manufacturing and skills jobs in the US. He said it’s thanks to efforts by President Trump and Governor Eric Holcomb that the “skills gap” is being closed.
