The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department is advising residents to not leave keys in vehicles and not leave vehicles unlocked.
They’ve worked two vehicle theft cases this week. One was recovered yesterday.
Vincennes Police put out a similar warning earlier this month after they had multiple vehicle theft reports in November.
Yesterday morning we reported that there was the theft of a Jeep reported from a Plainville address. It was reported stolen at 3:25-am Wednesday. The Daviess County Sheriff’s office put out a call on social media for the public to be on the lookout for it Thursday. Again it was reported recovered.
