Anna Louise “Dude” Bradley, 91, of Loogootee, passed away surrounded by her family at 10:33 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
She was born December 3, 1928 in Washington, Indiana to the late Lewis and Mabel (Downey) Summers.
Louise graduated from St. John Catholic High School in 1946. She married Ernest J. Bradley on September 16, 1950.
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. She was a past volunteer at the local nursing homes and loved to visit with the residents. Louise’s passion in life was helping and taking care of others. She was a member of a weekly prayer group and would often be contacted by people around the country asking her for prayer. Louise was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. Bradley, who passed away April 21, 2015; parents, Lewis and Mabel Summers; siblings, Charles (Viola) Summers, Doris (Ed) Traylor, Margaret (Bob) Cantrall, Jimmy Summers, and Jodie Summers.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Steve) Dequeant of Arlington, TX, Cynthia (Jim) Wilmes of Jasper and Karen (Seth) Burris of Bedford; sons, Randy (Marsha) Bradley of Hanover, PA, Allan (Marjorie) Bradley of Loogootee and Doug (Becky) Bradley of Loogootee; grandchildren, Beth Bradley and Geoff (Sarah) Bradley, Alyssa Dequeant, Caroline (Christian) Wilson and Catherine Wilmes; great-grandchildren, Grace Bradley and Zara Wilson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
