WCSC teacher retirement bonds are now retired

     In regular business, Washington School Superintendent Dr,Daniel Roach told the School Board  Thursday that the bond to fund teacher retirement obligations taken out in 2004 has been retired.  Retiring the bond will free up approximately $1.2 million per year in the school budget.  The Board also approved hiring Adrian Zakula as the junior high art teacher, and Amanda Hannah as junior high girls tennis coach.   Dr. Roach also announced that January 3, has been designated as the first e-learning day.
     Washington High School has been invited to be part of the University of Notre Dame’s STEM Center’s AP-TIP program.   Washington High School Principal Steve Peterson told school board members that The program focuses on increasing students taking advanced placement classes and helping increase the success rate of students in advanced placement classes.   Paterson said this is “wonderful opportunity for Washington High School students and faculty.
