Daviess County Sheriff’s Department personnel are getting trained in Project Lifesaver today.
Sheriff Gary Allison says his department applied for a grant last year and was granted funds for the program from the Daviess County Community Foundation. He says agencies across the nation participate in the protection and location program for people with dementia, autistic children or anyone with cognitive issues…
The Sheriff says before Project Lifesaver is implemented in a particular incident, the situation is assessed, and certain criteria have to be met. He hopes to have the program fully operational at his department next week.
