Michael L. Staab

Michael L. Staab, 63, of Shoals, passed away at 3:58 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born September 7, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Leonard and Betty (Canada) Staab.
Mike married Carol (Pattison) Staab in May of 1993 and she survives.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Loogootee and was currently serving as the Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree. He also was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of the Union Local 440 – Plumbers and Steamfitters and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Greenwood and the Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine in Indianapolis.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Betty Staab; one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Staab of Shoals; extended family, Allison Engle, Kristin (Timothy) Friel and 5 grandchildren; one daughter and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to the Knights of Columbus for the Gibault School in Terre Haute. Condolences may be made online at www.blakefuneralhomes.com.
