Richard Lee “Dick” Robinson, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020. A lifelong resident of Washington; he was born on October 19, 1936 to the late Richard “Newt” and Maude (Veale) Robinson.
He married Phyllis Trowbridge on April 15, 1955 and remarried her on August 23, 1997. Together they raised 6 children: Joyce Einikis, Rick (Sandy) Robinson, Janet (Alan) Chestnut, David (Susan) Robinson and Norma Jean (Bentley) Rider. Dick retired from Hoover Mfg. but farming was his true passion. He started with 7 acres “out on the hill”  in 1959 and raised hogs, cows, several horses, goats, pigeons and chickens. Always a hard worker, he continued raising animals and farming more and more land until he was no longer able. Besides his family this was his proudest accomplishment.
Over the years Dick enjoyed raising white king pigeons, collecting coins and watching IU basketball until Bobby Knight was fired. Most recently he loved watching the hummingbirds and sitting outside in his swing. Richard Lee (Dick) Robinson, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
