Property tax statements were scheduled to be mailed this past Thursday. A reminder that the spring or first installments are still due a month from today on May 11. However there is a 60 day waiver of late penalties. Due to COVID-19 you are discouraged from paying your property taxes in person at the courthouse. In Daviess County you can mail your statement and check to Daviess County Treasurer- 200-East Walnut Street Washington. You can also pay online at Pay online at www.govtechtaxpro.com.
If you need to go to the courthouse there is a drop-box inside the east door ramp by security. Please place your check or money order & tax statement in an envelope. If using the mail or drop box and would like a receipt mailed back to you, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
