Yesterday, Governor Eric Holcomb issued an Executive Order laying out guidance for medically necessary procedures. The order stated that as long as sufficient personal protective equipment, staff and other supplies are available for the COVID-19 response, hospitals should conduct medically necessary procedures like determining cancer diagnosis and cardiac issues and more.
Daviess Community Hospital said today that their medical providers and administration met to begin the planning to resume elective procedures and determine where to relocate the COVID unit currently situated in Same Day Surgery. More is to come they say as a plan is developed.
