Our beloved mother, Peggy Joan Reel, passed away Saturday morning, April 11, 2020, at her residence in Deerfield Beach, Florida, with her daughter Kim Summers by her side.
Peggy was born Oct. 16, 1938, to the late Joseph C. Baumert and to the late Lillian M. (Drew) Baumert.
Peggy was preceded in death in 1992 by her loving husband, Ronald Reel; grandson Joseph Barnard; stepsons Gary Randolph and Steve Reel. She is survived by her four children, Jeffrey J. (Mona) Barnard, Kenneth Ray Barnard, Jerry W. (Becky) Barnard, all of Washington, Indiana, Kim Barnard Summers of Deerfield Beach, Florida; stepdaughter, Diane Randolph. She is also survived by one sister, Sheila (Randy) Keesling of Raleigh, North Carolina. Peggy left behind 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with many other loved ones and friends.
As a child Peggy attended Washington Catholic schools and was currently attending New Life Church of God in Deerfield Beach.
There will be a celebration of life held in Washington, Indiana, in the upcoming months to honor her memory.
