Monty Murphy, Sr. 64 of Washington passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020.
Monty was born August 12, 1955 in Chauncey, IL to the late Jack Murphy and Virginian (Woodall) Murphy.
Monty was married to Nancy Murphy on March 1, 1979 and she survives. He loved his family and his grandchildren and spending time with them as often as he was able. He was employed as a mail carrier in the surrounding counties, loved driving his black truck, riding his motorcycle, and spending his money, and he cherished his dog Chance.
Monty is survived by; his son, Monty Murphy, Jr. (Brittany Coomer); daughters, Christina Riffey, Karen Vanarsdale (Ralph HainesIII); grandchildren, Breana Murphy, Joseph Roark, Brittany Murphy, Brandy Murphy, Bianca Murphy, Kiersten Arp, Levi Pohl, and Briana Pohl, Jordan Wright (Amy); great-grandchildren, Liam Roark, Joseph Cruz, Lucas Cruz, Matthew Cruz, Mason Weiler, Jaxson, Britain, Skylar, and Nolan Wright; siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
