The build a bag project started today.
It’s a partnership between Generations and Purdue Extension. Generations is the Area 13 agency on aging and disability. The build a bag project this week is designed to help those who can’t get out and get necessities in our “new normal”.
Cathy Jones is with Generations and she says starting today there are six locations where the public can drop off personal care, hygiene and common house hold items. Staff will then then to build a bag to be taken to those who need them.
You can drop off items locally from 10 to Noon tomorrow at Senior and Family Services on East Main in Washington; Elsewhere the drop off times are also 10 to Noon on Thursday at the Winslow Senior Center on Porter Street; at the Ferdinand Senior Center on Friday; the Shoals Senior Center will accept the items 10 to noon on Monday June 1st and the Jasonville Senior Center on Tuesday June 2nd.
