The Daviess County Commissioners voted today to ease the current restrictions at the courthouse starting the 2nd week in June.
President of the Commissioners Nathan Gabhart made the motion to allow the public to come and go as needed and get most employees back in the office on June 8th. date is a week before the next scheduled lifting of more restrictions statewide by the Governor.
Starting June 8th, all courthouse employees with the exception of those over 65 and over or others susceptible to COVID-19, would return to the courthouse. Gabhart said the department heads can determine if the older employees or others should come back or keep working from home.
When the public visits they will be required to get checked for fever before entering and it will be highly recommended they wear face coverings while at the courthouse. The health department will assist in writing up the guidelines to be used as the courthouse starts to ease restrictions on June 8th.
