Three men were arrested in Martin County on Tuesday afternoon in connection with a theft at the Jasper Home Depot.
Indiana State Police received the report of the theft about 1-pm and were told the suspects’ vehicle was headed north on 231.
Martin County Sheriff’s Major Keith Keller saw the vehicle a short time later on US 50 near Rama Dye Road in Martin County and made a traffic stop. A Martin County Deputy and State Trooper arrived and all three suspects were detained and identified. Upon investigation, two generators were found in the vehicle. They had been stolen from the Home Depot in Jasper. They were valued at almost $1200.
Arrested for Theft were 37-year-old Howard S. Stiltz and 18-year-old Jordan D. Armstrong both of Winamac, Indiana. Also charged was 50-year-old Ramone Stroud of Louisville, KY. Stroud was also charged with Operating a Vehicle without ever receiving a license while Armstrong was also charged with Possession of an illegal substance.
