An Evansville Democratic volunteer is looking at felony charges after prosecutors say she tampered with people’s ballots. Janet Reed was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail and released yesterday. Investigators say she sent people absentee ballots with the Democratic box already checked. That’s against the law. The Democratic Party in Evansville says Reed has no official position in the party, and they say they told her to stop. The county clerk says Reed kept doing it even after she was told to stop. Reed is due back in court next week.
