A man and his dog were thrown from a pick up truck and killed after the truck ran off the road and turned over landing in a deep ditch. It happened on the Bicknell-Wheatland Slab near Summers Road just south of Ragsdale in Knox County just after midnight last night. State Police say 60 year old James Staggs was not wearing a seatbelt in his 1998 Chevy Truck. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
