The Knox County Health Department says there were five new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend. 11 are actively quarantined. One was hospitalized in stable condition and the others are doing well home. Knox County Health Officer Dr. Alan Stewart says it’s up to the public to slow the current community spread. He encourages everyone to practice social distancing when in public. It you have symptoms he says, like a fever or cough you are encouraged to isolate yourself and contact your health care provider. Knox County has had a total of 46 cases since the pandemic started.
