David Wayne Gottschall, 58, of Washington, Indiana, entered rest on
Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana.
He was born March 6, 1962, in Alcoy, Spain, to Roger Wayne and Virginia Gottschall. David was employed by city of Washington in the street department for four years.
His survived by his wife Cheryl (Norrington) Gottschall; his children, Amanda Hickman and Brittney Tyring, both of Winslow, Indiana, Christine Pomeroy of Grand Fork, North Dakota, Emily Potts and Christopher Gotschall, both of Washington; a father figure, George Norrington of Otwell, Indiana; a sister, Kim Gottschall of Knoxville, Tennessee; and 13 grandchildren.
A Celebration of David’s life will begin 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Eastside Park, 2100 Memorial Ave., Washington, followed by a last ride to honor his wishes. A walk through visitation be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, Indiana.
Due to COVID-19 mandates from Gov. Holcomb and CDC social distancing is still observed with a limitation on the number of people at attendance for all visitation and services. Masks are still encouraged.
