Tuesday was the deadline for candidates to file to run in the November General Election. No other local candidates filed so the November ballot is set. The only contested local race in Daviess County will be for County Recorder with Republican Rossetta Newton facing Democrat Yolanda Granger Bostic.
Daviess County voters can vote for contested races in state and national elections. For State Representative in District 62 Alyssa Bailey a Democrat is challenging Republican Incumbent Jeff Ellington. For District 63, Republican Incumbent Shane Lindauer faces Democrat challenger Teresa Kendall.
For US Congress in Daviess County and across the 8th District, Republican Larry Bucshon is seeking re-election challenged by Democrat Thomasina Marselli.
Indiana Republican Governor Eric Holcomb is challenged by Democrat Woody Myers and of course there will be the Presidential Race with Donald Trump facing Democrat Joe Biden.
The election is November 3rd.
