Wanda Sue Lents

Wanda Sue (Potter) Lents, 82 of Washington, went to her heavenly home with her family by her side on Saturday, July 11, 2020 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer and ALS. 
Wanda was born in Washington on December 17, 1937 to the late Roy Potter and Faye (Potts) Potter. She attended Washington High School and was married to James Lents, Jr. on November 27, 1956 and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2001. 
Wanda was employed by Nasco for 36 years and was employee #51. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and made them all quilts and clothing as she was an avid seamstress. Wanda also loved dancing and going to local events at the Moose Lodge of which she was a member. 
Wanda is survived by; her loving companion of 19 years, Anthony Eckstein; her children, Rodger Lents (Sandra), Rick Lents (Brenda), Debra Spindler (Danny); grandchildren, Jessica Stiles (Mike Knepp), Jennifer Oxford (Shawn), Amanda Stockholm (Brad), Kyle Lents, Danielle Lents (John Waters), Chastity Axton (Nate);  grandson-in-law, Chris Stokes; great-grandchildren, Sierra Stiles, Pearl and Jasper Oxford, Harper Stockholm, Alayna and Harley Lents, and Emma Axton. 
Wanda was also preceded in death by; a granddaughter, Danielle Stokes; and 1 sister and 1 brother. 
There will be visitation on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Gill Funeral Home with a service immediately following that will be live streamed on Facebook.. Burial will follow in New Veale Creek Cemetery.
