Around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening Washington Police were called to the area of N.W. 6th Street and Vincennes Avenue in regard to a neighbor’s dogs being loose and attacking people. When officers arrived, they discovered that five dogs had got out of a house on N.W. 6th Street through a window. The police reported the living conditions for the animals was in severely poor condition. The officers said the health of the dogs is in poor condition. The officers also said that when opening the door the door came off its hinges, and the house had a severe odor within two feet of the door. The police report noted this is an on-going issue with the owner. Animal Control was notified of the situation.
Wednesday, the Odon Police Department arrested 44 year old Jason Atchley of Odon on charges of Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Minor, Battery on a Minor less than 14 years old, and Intimidation.
Also on Wednesday, the Washington Police Department arrested 26 year old Michael Kirby of Washington on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm without a Permit.
The Washington Police Department arrested 39 year old Patricia Garcia of Washington on charges of Conspiracy to Deal Methamphetamine over 10 grams and Possession of Paraphernalia.
And Washington Police arrested 40 year old Adrian Rodriquez of Washington for Conspiracy to Deal Methamphetamine over 10 grams.
The current jail population at the Daviess County Security Center is 126
