Judith Wendling Cook , 83, Vincennes, passed away at The Legends Village in Washington, Indiana on Wednesday, July 15. She was born on January 8, 1937 in Vincennes to Richard and Mignon (Seed) Wendling. She graduated from St. Rose Academy and then Nursing School at Vincennes University.
Judy worked at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in surgery. She also spent time as an industrial nurse at the Texaco Plant in Lawrenceville. Judy worked as a nurse for the gastroenterologist, Dr. Richard Walter , in Vincennes for 20 years.
Judy enjoyed going to Mass, being a nurse, traveling, attending musicals productions, and visiting art museums.
She is survived by her daughter Sally Anne Cook of Peoria, Arizona and several cousins. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her long-time companion, Edward Robbins.
A Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church with Reverend Tony Ernst.
