An inmate died inside the Wabash Valley Correctional facility in Sullivan County Sunday. State police are looking into the death of Kevin Carpenter of Churubusco. He was found unconscious in his cell early Sunday morning and staff members at the facility started first aid as they called for help. He was pronounced dead soon after. Troopers say they suspect foul play and are treating his death as a homicide. Carpenter had been an inmate at the facility since 2011.
