Mayor of Indianapolis Announces New Restrictions for Marion County

Because of an increase in coronavirus cases in Marion County, especially among young adults, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hoggset has announced tighter restrictions for Marion County.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett also announced Salons may operate by appointment only. Sporting events must limit spectators to 25% of occupancy. Hogsett says when it comes to schools getting ready for the fall semester, in-person classes must not resume until at least August 5. Otherwise, school facilities may continue operation under CDC guidelines.

These restrictions will go into effect at 5:00 PM today, July 24th.
