Betty R. Boyer, 87, of Vincennes, IN, passed away July 21, 2020, at the BridgePointe Health Campus.
Betty had worked as a CNA, having spent several years at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Lawrenceville Elks, Lawrenceville Moose, and the Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary. Betty especially enjoyed playing bingo.
Born February 22, 1933, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Otis and Amanda (Wright) Raney. Her parents; her husband, Lester Boyer; her sons, Joe and Bob Boyer, and her grandson, Pierson Morgan, preceded her.
Surviving are her sons, Michael Boyer and his wife, Cindy, of Lawrenceville, IL, and Jim Boyer and his wife, Beth, of Champaign, IL; her daughters-in-law, Cecelia Boyer of Colorado Springs, CO and Teresa Boyer of Vincennes, IN; her grandchildren, Michael Boyer II and his companion, Tami Fredrick, of Vincennes, IN, Monica Waller and her husband, Kenneth, of Lawrenceville, IL, Julie Webster and her companion, John Burst, of Rochester, IL, Emily Morgan and her husband, Alex, of Champaign, IL, A.J. Boyer of Kentucky, Josh Boyer of Vincennes, IN, and Chryssi Hickman and her husband, Daniel, of Colorado Springs, CO; her great-grandchildren, Heather Waller of Indianapolis, IN, Kenneth Waller III of Lawrenceville, IL, Kiley Waller of Lawrenceville, IL, Tanner Waller of Lawrenceville, IL, Zach Jones and his wife, Ashley, of Virden, IL, Garrett Jones of Springfield, IL, Gracie Webster of Rochester, IL, Garrett Webster of Springfield, IL, Anthony Boyer of Lawrenceville, IL, and Lynnlie Boyer of Vincennes, IN; and her great-great-grandchildren, Berlyn Jones of Virden, IL, Kyla Jones of Springfield, IL, and Caroline Mathias of Vincennes, IN.
Friends may visit with Betty’s family from 3:00 – 5:00 EDT, on Sunday, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. A graveside service will be held on Monday, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, at 10:00.
