Carolyn S. McGrath, 83, of Loogootee, passed away peacefully at 4:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 with her beloved husband of 44 years and family by her side.
She was born September 17, 1936 in Lawrence County, Indiana to the late William Clyde and Harriett (Mann) Brown.
Carolyn was fun loving and cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was former member of St. Mary Catholic Church – Barr Township and a current member at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clyde and Harriett (Mann) Brown; one grandson, Brian Walczak; one sister, Mary Frazier.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, John J. McGrath; children, Jacquelyn F. Richardville, James R. (Dawn A.) McGrath, James L. Beasley, John K. (Shirley) McGrath, Jerry D. Beasley, Joe T. Beasley and Susan E. (Cynthia) McGrath; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
