A few football players at Evansville Mater Dei tested positive for coronavirus — or at least that’s was thought. Now, it seems there may have been a mix up. That’s are the word of Mater Dei head football coach Mike Goebel in an email to parents. He says the players they originally though tested positive — actually had negative tests. The school shutdown football practice after the first report of positive tests and told the whole football team to quarantine as a precaution until August 20th. Practice resumed on Wednesday. The email also tells parents to “remain quiet” and not discuss the mix up publicly.
