The Barr Reeve Lady Vikings will take on Forrest Park tonight in the brand new Barr Reeve gym with the first match ever played on the new floor tonight. It’s gets underway at 7pm.
The Washington Jr High Boys and Girls Soccer teams opened with a pair of big wins over Vincennes Lincoln at the Sports Complex last night.
The Washington Boys and Girls Varsity teams will celebrate senior night Thursday at home. The boys play Forrest Park at 5:30pm, Girls game will follow against Pike Central. You can hear both games Thursday on Memories 107.9fm and www.wamwamfm.com.

A head coach is needed for the 5th and 6th graders. If you have a passion for being a mentor to our youth and teaching them the fundamentals this is an important step to leading them into Jr High. The Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals split a seven-inning double header Monday at Wrigley Field. In game one, St. Louis earned a 3-1 victory, giving the Cubs their third straight loss. With the game tied heading into the decisive seventh inning, St. Louis third baseman Brad Miller broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run double. In game two, the Cubs came back from down 4-1 to defeat their rival Cardinals 5-4 and end a three-game losing streak.
The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat begin their first round playoff series Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. Eastern from the NBA’s “bubble” in Orlando. The Pacers captured the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference after a win over the Heat on Friday.
The 2021 NBA All-Star Game is unlikely to take place on its scheduled Presidents’ Day weekend date at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis next February. WISH-TV first reported that the league has canceled hotel contracts for that weekend. Next season will have a delayed start, as the NBA playoffs began Monday. Pacers Sports and Entertainment president and COO Rick Fuson said in a statement the team is excited about continuing to collaborate with the NBA as we look to the future. Indianapolis last hosted the NBA All-Star Game in 1985, when the game was held at the Hoosier Dome.
