300 Pizza Hut locations will be closing their doors indefinitely. NPC International, one of the largest restaurant franchisees in the US, has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The company will close nearly a quarter of their locations and sell the others. No decisions have made as to which of these locations will be closing, however, NPC did say that a substantial majority of restaurants closing will be the ones with dining rooms. The company has filed Bankruptcy due to having nearly 1 billion dollars in debt as a result of rising food and labor costs. The chain is looking to shift away from the dining room setting and focus more on pick up and carryout operations. The Pizza Hut here in Washington is owned by NPC, but no word has been given as to if this will be one of the locations closing.
