Susan Jane Wood, 67, passed away at 3:00 am on August 18, 2020 at her residence. Susan was born on April 3, 1953 in Washington the daughter of Hugh L. and Margaret (Bonham) Hill. She married John Wood on October 25, 1974.
Susan was a 1971 graduate of Washington High school and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She had worked as clerk for Washington City Utilities for twenty-two years and was a member of the Classical Club and enjoyed traveling, nature, and music.
Survivors include her husband John Wood of Washington, IN; sons, Scott M. Wood of Washington, IN, Ross M. Wood of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Abby Hobson and her husband, Larry of Marshall, IN; brother, Michael Hill and his wife Jeanie of Washington, IN. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Daniel Hobson.
Friends may visit from 2-3 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. The Wood family will hold a private funeral service for Susan and she will be laid to rest in St. John Cemetery.
