Sarah Joann Clark, 86 formerly of Washington, IN passed away on August 18, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. Sarah was born on October 30, 1933 in Wheatland, Indiana the daughter of Charles H. and Ruth (Riker) Thompson.
Sarah, who family and close friends knew as Joann, lived in Washington for over 30 years before moving to Ohio to be near her daughter. She did factory work for many years, which she enjoyed, working at RCA in Bloomington, IN and GE in Linton, IN. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Barrow and her husband Rob of Troy, Ohio; son, Joe Clark and his wife Judy of Whitestown, Indiana; sister, Shirley Wetzel of Oaktown Indiana; brother, Leon Thompson and his wife Linda of Morgantown, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Christal Giambri and her husband Michael and James Barrow and his wife Bethany; great-grandchildren, Zooey Barrow and Eliza Barrow. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jean Thompson Crane and her brother, Charles H. Thompson.
Friends may visit with Sarah’s family from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, Indiana 47501.
