Kayla Marie Sanders, 26, of Loogootee, passed away from this world into heaven at 8:36 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020.
She was born on July 12, 1994 in Washington, Indiana to Gregory J. Salmon and Lillie Marie (Hansen) Greenhalgh.
Kayla fought a long battle with kidney failure. She loved spending time with her family and going on drives with her fiancé, Randy Zellars. She loved coloring and drawing pictures with her nieces and nephews and doing hair and makeup with her nieces.
She married Kirk Sanders on November 5, 2011 he preceded her in death on December 17,2016. Kayla then met and fell in love with Randy Lee Zellars and they were in engaged to be married.
Kayla is survived by her parents Gregory J. Salmon and Lillie Marie (Hansen) Greenhalgh of Loogootee; fiancé, Randy Zellars Greenwood; four brothers, David (Brandy) Salmon, Danny (Ashley) Salmon, Hunter (Kennedi) Salmon, all of Loogootee and Roger Salmon of Elnora; nieces and nephews, Warren, Andrew, Abby, and Jamie Salmon, Essie, Drake, and Courtney Craig, Aspen, Seth, Sydnee, and ShyAnn Salmon, Johnathan Fraley, Duane and Lukas Salmon, Aleecia Jones, Heaven York, Bre, James, Paysen and Hazel Jones and Liam York; great aunt and uncle, Peggy and Bob Hoover.
She was preceded in death by death by her late husband Kirk Sanders; grandparents, Herschel and Betty Salmon and Fred and Cordia Hansen; aunts, Nedra K. Ketchem and Lisa Winnger; aunt and uncle, Lana Sue and Bob Wilkerson; cousin, Josh Ketchem.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
