Ruth Ann Norris, 85, of Loogootee, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Ketcham Memorial Center.
She was born November 7, 1934 in Washington, Indiana to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Toon) Norris.
Ruth married Jack Norris in 1980 and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2013.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Ruth enjoyed shopping and square dancing. She liked playing cards, especially Euchre. Ruth loved playing bunco, bingo and visiting French Lick Casino. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren dearly.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Norris; parents, Lawrence and Hazel Norris; brother, Jimmy Norris.
She is survived by her children, Dottie (Greg) Potts of Loogootee and Don Lee (Tatiana) Meyers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; step-son, Terry (Donna) Norris of Loogootee; grandchildren, Mark (Jessica) Potts, Kelli Potts, Andrey Lapushin, John (Shana) Norris and Bridget Norris; great-grandchildren, Judd and Morgan Potts; sister, Mary Jane (Vic) Crew of Loogootee; sister-in-law, Karen Norris of Loogootee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will follow in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John Catholic Cemetery.
