Tensions between the president and faculty of the University of Evansville has been high the last few weeks, however, the university president now has further support. Trustees at the University of Evansville are supporting the university’s president in a no confidence campaign launched by faculty members earlier this week. Trustees penned an open letter Thursday, accusing the professors who voted no confidence in President Chris Pietruszkiewicz of not acting in the best interest of the school. The no confidence vote is the latest chapter in an on-going story of tension between Pietruszkiewicz and faculty members over millions of dollars in budget cuts that could lead to layoffs.
