Polly A. Walker, 65, of Loogootee, passed away at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at her home.
She was born July 25, 1955 in Jasper, Indiana to the late George K. and Marie M. (Arvin) Walker.
Polly was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martin Altar Society, and a past religion teacher. She also participated in the Christ Renews His Parish. Polly was a former little league softball coach for Loogootee area youth. She retired from NSWC Crane in 2018 after 30 plus years of dedicated employment in the financial department.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, George W. (Linda) Walker, Joseph A. Walker, Michael J. Walker and Mary Ruth Walker; brother-in-law, Larry G. Bair; nephews, Jason and Trenton Bair.
Polly is survived by her siblings, John L. Walker of Loogootee, Rebecca L. Bair of Dubois and Carl R. Walker, Cindy (Jay) Smith and Peggy L. Walker, all of Loogootee; many nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews; three great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece and 3 more blessings on the way.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Whitfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the St. Martin Catholic Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Loogootee Athletic Department because of her avid support to her nieces and nephews sporting activities.
