After four days of trying, Kyle Busch won Wednesday evening at Texas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series. The win was Busch’s first of the season and ended a 33-race winless streak. It also extended his streak of consecutive seasons with a win to 16. Busch saved fuel on his final run and held off Martin Truex Jr for his 57th career win. The race had been postponed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday due to persistent rain and mist. The final race of the third round of the playoffs is Sunday at Martinsville Speedway.

The Indianapolis Colts practiced Wednesday, and the Colts got multiple key contributors back on the field. Linebacker Darius Leonard, wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., and defensive end Kemoko Turay all returned to practice after suffering injuries. The Pro Bowler Leonard has missed the last two games with a groin injury. Pittman Jr. had not suited up since having surgery after Week 3 due to compartment syndrome in his legs. Turay suffered a serious ankle injury last season and will need a couple of weeks of practice before being ready for game action. The Colts are on the road Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
