Mary M. Wright

Mary was born December 14, 1928 in Washington Township Daviess County Indiana to Christina Bacon Stanley and John S. Stanley.
Mary graduated from Washington High School in 1946.
Mary married the love of her life, Roderick Random Wright on June 12, 1949. They were married 62 ½ years after being High School Sweethearts.
Mary belonged to Christ United Methodist Church for 70 years and was a member of the Church Boosters Sunday School Class.
Mary loved dressing up for the Holidays as the Easter Bunny, Mrs. Santa Claus, Wicked With and various clowns.
Mary loved her family and enjoyed living.
Mary was involved in Southern Indiana Doll Club, and White Shrine.
Mary attended Vincennes University and was a graduate of Dale Carnegie Course. She also was the Farm Bureau Queen in 1946; Daviess County Farm Bureau News EditorShe also belonged to Rebekah Lodge #78; Rainbow Girls; Eastern Star #210; Young Happenings Home Ec ClubAmerican Business Women and Lady Shriners.
Mary worked at Kroger’s, Dollar Store and owned Wrights Bibles, Books and Gifts,  Balloon Palace and helped her husband run Leo’s Key and Lock Shop.
Mary also ran the concession stand at East Side Park, Southview Park and West Boggs Park.
Mary leaves behind a son Kenny Wright and wife Cheryl Charles Wright of Washington.
Mary also leaves behind a daughter Karen Wright Breeden and husband Terry Breeden of Palm Coast, Florida.
Mary leaves behind 6 Grandchildren: Chrissy Henninger and husband Jay of Loogootee; Mike Roach and wife Jo of Washington; Jaret Wright and wife Jessica of Washington; Time Wright and wife Amber of Washington; Tony Baumert and wife Amber of Palm Coast, Fl.; Travis Breedex and wife Nancy of Palm Coast, Fl.
Mary leaves behind 18 Great Grandchildren: Tiffany Evans, McKenzie Shoultz, Kelsey Jo Cates, Andrew Baumert, Aidan Baumert, Colton Henninger, Jack Henninger, Regan Wright, Emma Wright, Collier Wright, Audrey Wright, Lillie Wright, Nick Wright, Evelyn Wright, Mike Ferrari, Jessica Ferrari, Dalelen Hand and Lance Roach.
Mary leaves behind 12 Great Great Grandchildren: Peyton Shoultz, Grace Shoultz, Noah Shoultz, Evan Radcliff, Oakley Radcliff, Montana Scales, Braven Kline, Ramon Peralba, Amelia Henninger, Elena Henninger, Klara Henninger and Greysen Ferrari.
Mary also leaves behind 5 nieces, 2 nephews, several first cousins, 2 Aunt’s and Brother John S. Stanley, Jr.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Roderick “Rod” Wright, her parents Christina and John Stanley, a sister Wilma Gladish, and Granddaughter Veronica Sue Roach.
Services for Mary will be Wednesday November 4, 2020 at Christ United Methodist Church in Washington IN. Visitation will be 11am-1pm with services immediately following (facemasks are required). Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
